The Digital Passport

A living record of your journey on the South West Coast Path — collect stamps along the way, earn badges for the distance you cover, and receive a GPS-verified certificate when you complete the trail.

Collect stamps

Pick up a stamp at the places you pass — guesthouses, village shops, ruins and viewpoints — by scanning a code or checking in nearby. A digital keepsake of everywhere you stopped.

Earn badges

Bronze, Silver and Gold badges mark how far you've walked. They add up across every trip, so the distance you cover is always yours to keep.

Verified completion

Finish a stage, a section, or the whole trail and earn a completion certificate — verified from your own GPS route, and shareable with a scannable code anyone can check.

How it works

1

Walk with the app

Your route is recorded as you go, working fully offline for the stretches with no signal.

2

Earned automatically

Certificates are worked out from your recorded walk — there's nothing to claim or fill in, and nothing to buy.

3

Collect as you go

Stamps and badges build up in one place — your passport — a lasting memory of the whole journey.

4

Share and verify

Every certificate carries a code that opens a page confirming the walk — proof you can share with anyone.

A “Verified Completion” certificate is issued by SouthWestCoast, an independent app for people walking the South West Coast Path. It confirms a walk was completed as recorded; it is not an official document of any trail authority. Read how we verify & the full disclaimer.
